Chase - . . .God
Kathy - . . .from, about, and is God.
Shari - . . .sacred.
4. Chick Flicks: Okay for Dates/Female Bonding or the End of Civilization as We Know it?
Chase - Probably the end of civilization, though I cannot say that I haven’t enjoyed a chick flick or two. . .
Kat - Much more than okay for dates/female bonding and definitely an enlightenment of civilization as we know it. Guys, take note.
Lauren H. - The end of civilization. . .Disney does it better.
Allison - Chick flicks are most certainly PERFECT for dates, and of course for female bonding. But it’s always nice to take turns picking movies on dates. That way, girls aren’t stuck watching the blood, gore, and adventure and guys don’t have to suffer through more sappy love stories than absolutely necessary.
EA - I love me a good chick flick.
Bill - Okay for a date, especially if popcorn is involved.
Kathy - I like “While You Were Sleeping” and also “Chicken Run” (actually they  are claymation chickens, but probably has the most “chicks” in it).

Kat - The phone calls/e-mails/IMs I got during the days immediately preceding and following Katrina.
TJ - Forcing me to not be mean to myself. Many have done this.
Jason - They have spent time with me. I love that the most. . .when someone gives me something they could never get back.
Nathan - My mom rubs my back when I’m having an asthma attack.
Allison - One of the most meaningful and unforgettable ways Todd shows me love is by holding me when I cry. He doesn’t try to tell me everything’s going to be okay, because sometimes, it just isn’t! All he does is hold me, and knowing he is there makes all the difference.
EA - Showing me patience and grace.
Bill - Kathy married me and stays married to me.
Chase - One time, my mom and dad let me go to Hilton Head with them on my birthday even though it was a grown up trip.

8. How do you know that God loves you?
Chase - He is faithful to show it to me everyday.
Kat - The fact that I’m able to have a personal relationship with Him. That he cares about every aspect of my life and desires closeness with me. That He cares about every aspect of my life and desires closeness with me. That He has provided me with loving friends and family and reveals Himself to me each day in His word and creation.
TJ - I screw up so much that if God was a human, God would have given up on me a long time ago. But I never believe that He has. In fact, I believe more and more everyday that there really isn’t anything we can do to separate ourselves from God. I believe God loves me because I believe He doesn’t give up on me.
Jason - When I had no desire to be a disciple, He called me and opened my eyes, giving me desire to live a life. . .period. Since He IS love, and He has put Himself into me, I would say that this is proof enough.
Lauren H. - Rainbows. He physically spared my life by shining through a rainbow and Amazing Grace.
Nathan - He created movies.
Allison - God is love. He exists, and so does love.

10. Valentine’s Day: Great Opportunity to say you care or Conspiracy among the Greeting Card, Flower, and Chocolate Industries?
Chase - Conspiracy
Taylor - Major conspiracy. . .my girlfriend and I have decided to not give them the satisfaction this year. . .
Kat - You can get chocolate for super cheap the day after Valentine’s, that’s definitely a good thing.
TJ - Hallmark is behind it all. Hallmark and Peeps, perhaps.
Jason - The best way to empty the man’s wallet.
Lauren H. - Conspiracy, by far. Why can’t we say we care every

other day? Lazy humans.
EA - Most romantic national holiday.
Bill - Great opportunity. . .for greeting cards, flowers, chocolates, etc.
Kathy - Probably established to bring more money to card, candy, flower industry. We don’t need to buy anything, but shouldn’t we express our love every day of the year?
Shari - Conspiracy, not only among greeting card, flower, and chocolate industries, but also jewelry stores, babysitters, and Italian restaurants.
Chris - I plead the fifth.

11. Who was Saint Valentine?
TJ - A martyred saint from ancient Rome about whom we know very little. He’s a ton cooler than Cupid.
Lauren H. - Probably some famous dead guy this holiday was named after. . .the chief conspirator who probably meant well.
Allison - Like many religious holidays turned secular, Valentine’s Day was originally a Roman Catholic holiday honoring St. Valentine who died as a martyr for his faith. It was not until the Middle Ages that the holiday became the international day of love and on into modern times when the day became identified with chocolates, greeting cards, and flowers.
EA - A guy whose face looked a lot like a heart.
Bill - The Patron Saint of Greeting Cards, Flowers, Chocolate Industries, etc.
Chase - An old woman whose mind was lost due to many years alone. She also owned a small candy operation in Northeast Asia in conjunction with the British East India Tea Co. They teamed up to create Valentine’s Day--the old bat insisted that they name it after her--which to this day drains the pockets of love-struck young men and giddy young women to the point of idiocy.
Taylor - The golf buddy of St. Nicholas and St. Patrick.
Kathy - A priest or bishop in ancient Rome, who was imprisoned for giving aid to martyrs. He was beaten and beheaded circa 269. Short definition.

Chase - Care.
Taylor - Giving the highest seat to the lowest (literally and metaphorically).
Kat - Serve them and help meet their needs.
TJ - Inconvenience ourselves for the sake of someone else.
Jason - Selfless sacrifice, perhaps. I’m still learning how to do this.
Lauren H. - To actually live as though we are truly loved by God.
Nathan - Being their friend without a secret agenda to win them to Christ.
EA - Meet their needs and show them love.
Bill - Be nice to waitresses.
Kathy - Being available and giving of yourself without expecting anything in return. Selfless love.
Shari - Try to love as unconditionally as possible. I think lately compassion has been taken a back seat to passion. It’s important to be on fire for God and even for a cause, but a part of God’s call is to love others, serve others, help others, listen to others, and just be there for others and their causes as well.
Chris - Realize that God loves everyone and then try to love them as God loves us.
13. My children will not be allowed to date until. . .

Kathy - . . .30, whoops, blew that. Must not be a good parent.
Shari - . . .when did I have children?
14. What’s love got to do with it?
Chase - Too much in my opinion.
Taylor - “Love is what love does.”
Kat - “What’s love but a second hand emotion/ What’s love got to do, got to do with it/ Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken” Sorry. . .I got caught up in the song. I really meant to say everything. Love’s got everything to do with it.
TJ - “What’s love but a second-hand emotion?” Sorry, Tina, but John was right: “All you need is love.”
Jason - Everything, of course. Love has to do with everything that God is about, since He is love. . .and everything that God is about is exalting and glorifying His own name and renown. Therefore, when we love, we MUST be about the delight of exalting Jesus Christ and treasuring Him above all things. “The steadfast love of the Lord is better than life.”
Lauren H. - Everything, more than I can imagine. God is love. Without God, we are not. Love is the theme, the beginning, the middle, the end.
Allison - Absolutely everything.
EA - Everything. Love is what it’s all about.
Bill - Everything.
Kathy - I’m not sure what you want from this question, but love should be the center of our existence, actions, living, & purpose.
Shari - Love is all about every “Proud Mary” and her “Typical Male” that says “I Don’t Wanna Fight” so “Let’s Stay Together.” In all seriousness, it’s mirroring God and His connections to us.
Chris - It seems quite a bit.
